Parks and Recreation Committee

The Parks and Recreation Committee convened a brief 17-minute meeting to consider a single contract award for the long-awaited Storybrook Park development in the Birchwood neighborhood. The committee unanimously approved awarding the $1.98 million contract to Premium Services Inc. for the first phase of park construction, which has been in planning since the property was purchased in 2008-2010. The project combines park development with sidewalk improvements along West Maplewood Avenue to create safe pedestrian access to the new facility. #
