Behavioral Care Center Model and Location

Motion to proceed with design for a 32-bed out-of-custody behavioral care center (16 mental health, 16 substance use disorder beds) newly constructed at Division Street Campus. Facility estimated at 40,000 square feet with expansion capability, funded by $11 million state funding, $3 million opioid settlement funds, and remainder from two-tenths justice sales tax. Vote passed 6-1.
