North Beaver Preserve Timber Sale Authorization

Committee authorized staff to negotiate a surplus timber harvest contract with Janicki Logging and Construction Company for thinning operations on 80 acres of overstocked Douglas fir forest at North Beaver Preserve. The sale will reduce tree density from 250 to 150 trees per acre to improve forest health and water quality protection. Revenue amount to be determined during negotiations.
