SMS Terms of Service — Real Housing Reform Initiative

These SMS Terms of Service apply to text message communications sent by Real Housing Reform Initiative, a Washington State 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 39-4829821), to subscribers who have opted in to receive SMS messages.

1. Program Description

Real Housing Reform Initiative sends SMS messages to subscribers who have opted in to receive mobile alerts related to housing policy developments, zoning decisions, and comprehensive plan analysis in Washington State; Washington State legislative updates affecting housing and the Growth Management Act; new investigations, reports, and data releases published at realhousingreform.org; and time-sensitive alerts related to upcoming public comment periods or legislative votes.

2. How to Opt In

You may opt in to receive SMS messages from Real Housing Reform Initiative by submitting your phone number and providing explicit SMS consent via a signup form at realhousingreform.org, or by texting START to our designated SMS number. By opting in, you consent to receive recurring automated marketing text messages from Real Housing Reform Initiative at the phone number you provided.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. You may receive up to 4–8 messages per month depending on legislative activity and publication schedule.

4. How to Opt Out

Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. For help, reply HELP or contact info@realhousingreform.org.

5. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Real Housing Reform Initiative does not charge a fee for SMS messages.

6. Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Available on most major U.S. carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and others.

8. Privacy

Your mobile number and SMS consent data will not be shared with third parties, affiliates, or non-affiliates for their own marketing purposes. All SMS opt-in data and consent information is excluded from any data-sharing arrangements. This information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text message services necessary to deliver your messages.
